Laura taught me so much this year and her personal approach to each athletes needs really allowed me to excel. Through her coaching, motivation and friendship I matured so much as an athlete. This summer has been the most memorable and fun out of my seven years of racing. Laura inspired me and taught me the focus required to have an incredible season and have a blast while doing it!

Thanks to her coaching I had a PR at Ironman Wisconsin by an hour!

Looking forward to continuing in the spring!

Thank you very much for the GREAT coaching, council, motivation, encouragement and friendship! These last months have been awesome! I have been more focused, driven and inspired than my entire 14 years of triathlon.  Working with you has taught me a lot about my self as a person and an athlete.

Thanks to your coaching and keeping me accountable, I have accomplished the following:

-   Overall Winner of Motor City Triathlon
-   Age group winner of every sprint triathlon
-   4:36 for IM Rhode Island 70.3 with a PR of over 40 minutes
-   10:13 for IM KY with a PR of over 47 minutes

Looking forward to continuing with you in the fall and preparing for IM NZ 2010.

Thanks again,

Mark S.

….your email on race day tips/secrets was Awesome and I appreciate that very much!! This has been an Amazing journey that I have been on these last few months with you. I am in the best shape of my life, focused, and in balance on all levels. I am truly grateful to you for building in me structure.

Sara has noticed a huge change in me for the positive and appreciates the extra time that I have had with my schedule to devote to family time and still have the training at the level that I have been doing… It has been GREAT! THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

Mark

After 6 short weeks of training with Laura, I achieved goals I never thought possible. In preparation for my Ironman, I traveled to the course to compete in a half Ironman. It was a tough, hilly course, but I managed to win the overall and I PRed my half ironman time by 6 min (4:45:13). I PRed my swim by over a min, had a strong bike, and PRed my run by 13 min (1:28), averaging a 6:47 pace. After qualifying for Kona last year, I thought I knew what I was doing. I learned that there were a lot of things that I should have been doing differently and now I have complete faith in Laura’s coaching skills. I am now looking forward to my IM more than ever!

Laura,

I wanted to say thanks again for a great camp. Thanks also for taking care of me while I was sick. I had the best time and can’t wait until next year so I can get all the gaps with fresh legs and another year on the bike. Even though I was sick and didnt get a whole lot in, I learned a lot about my own levels of where I am. After my times and splits coming down, I felt very confident. This camp was certainly humbling, if not by the course, then certainly by the rest of the athletes there. It has definitely given me some bonus mental points to focus on for my long rides on runs.

Everyone there was great and I learned a ton. I wish I was able to get more workouts in. It is hard balancing the “you can do one more” with the reality of: NO energy.

I feel a ton better today after a long, drawn out drive back the Chicago. Driving up those gaps on the way out was crazy! I can hardly believe that I rode up those. Crazy.
